MozBar is a paid tool. If you're looking for a free way to check a site's Domain Authority (DA), a page's Page Authority (PA), or the number of sites linking to a page, you’re out of luck. MozBar no longer offers these features for free (as of February 22, 2025). While it's understandable that offering the above features for free may not have been sustainable, Moz could have communicated the change better. Some users might have considered upgrading if they had been informed. The premium version costs $179 per month (plus applicable taxes), which is quite pricey if you’re only checking a site's DA, a page's PA, or backlinks. But with over a million downloads, MozBar’s strategy seems clear: if just 1% of users upgrade, that’s 10,000 paying customers. A solid win for Moz. Anyway, thanks for the free tool while it lasted.

Despite all the reviews that appeared fake or spam, I downloaded it anyway. Fake or not, they were right. Free version doesnt really do anything, and the "recommended" pay version is over $100 a month. NOPE.

The old MozBar was better. Now it's not showing DA at all in the icon. It's a shame company like moz still couldn't fix it.
